Alati Jazz Scholar" and at age 18 was selected by the Berklee College of Music's "World Scholarship Tour". While at Berklee, he studied guitar and composition with instructors such as Tim Miller and the legendary Mick Goodrick (teacher of Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Bill Frisell and more). Colin holds a degree of guitar performance from the Berklee College of Music in addition to graduate studies of composition from the Hunter College Music Department.
Colin first began teaching guitar while still in high school as a part time job, a job he continued throughout his college years. Since graduating from Berklee in 2007, Colin has been teaching professionally full time and has helped hundreds of students reach their goals. From the advanced student preparing for auditions at some of the world's most prestigious music schools, to the beginner who just wants to play their favorite song, Colin welcomes students of all levels, styles and interests to his lessons.
